The dreaded lull

- It's tempting while running your film's crowdfunding campaign to be constantly checking your e-mail, waiting for the latest contribution to come through. In the beginning stages of your campaign, it can be exhilarating. You usually will have a rush of contributions in the first few days, but then, inevitably, the frequency of those contributions dwindle, and the lack of new messages flowing into your inbox can be maddening. Don't freak out. The dreaded lull almost always happen after the initial momentum of the first week or so. The good news is that contributions will likely rise a lot at the end of the campaign. Most campaigns follow a pattern like this one. Your donations will likely be great at the beginning, then level off during the middle, and then rise very rapidly at the end.
