Adjusting color saturation

- [Instructor] Let's open this photo of a yellow house against a blue sky so we can talk about color. I'm going to tap the color panel to open it, and at the bottom of the color panel, notice the two sliders, vibrance and saturation. Both of these address the intensity or the purity of colors in an image. For example, if I drag the saturation slider to the right, the colors in the photo get much more intense, and if I go to the left, they get much less intense or de-saturated. So let's drag saturation to the right until we get a sky that we like. So I really like the color of the sky now, but I think that the house is too saturated, and that's the downside of using saturation, that it saturates all the colors in a photo to the same degree, so especially when you have a person in a photo, you may prefer to use vibrance over saturation.
