- [Instructor] When working in Lightroom, I like to keep the histogram open, but I close down the other panels, and I work down as I go. So, we'll start with this Basics panel here, and we'll look at white balance. I shot this at about daylight balance at 5,200. You can cycle through the presets to see if there is a white balance that appeals to you. You can see Auto, and Daylight. As you can see they have subtle differences, and they're adjusting the temperature and the tint as we go down. Some of them are really off, like the Tungsten, and some were pretty accurate, but let's go with the Custom look. Now I've played with this photo before, so I have a white balance that I already know that works well for this image. So I can either adjust it by sliding on the slider like this, or I can type in a white balance directly right here on the numbers, and I'd like to type in 4400. With the tint at zero. If you're shooting in JPEG, you won't have nearly as much wiggle room with these…
