Convert spherical to cubical, part 1
- Earlier we talked about spherical projections and cubical projections, and you might find that you need to convert from one to another, maybe to be delivered to a client, maybe for post-processing. So let me show you how to convert from one projection type to another projection type. In our post-processing video, we saw one way of editing the nadir area. Again, that's the area that usually contains a tripod. But if working in Photoshop and taking that much time doesn't fit into your workflow, there are some other options. For instance, PTGui has a way of converting your equi-rectangular image into a cubical image. And that's here under Tools, Convert to QTVR/Cubic. QTVR is QuickTime Virtual Reality, which we're not really using anymore. Cubic is the type that we are looking for now.
