Crop for composition

- [Instructor] The crop tool can be used to strengthen a photo's composition or find the story. It can also be used to crop an image to a specific proportional dimension for web banners, social media, or print, and the best part is the Lightroom's crop tool is completely non-destructive, meaning that you can return to it at any time to reset or adjust the crop. There's some good questions to ask yourself when evaluating a photo for composition. What is the story or main subject? Does the subject fill the frame? Does your eye see the subject first or something else? Is it level? Here we have a photo of the Sydney Opera House. It's the subject, but there are a lot of distractions around the frame. These trees in the foreground, the boat, the building on the side here. Let's try and fix this composition or improve it with the crop tool.
