- [Voiceover] In this next stage of our project we'll start off by looking at how we can create a selection in order to clean up the background. Then we'll create a few curves adjustments in order to improve the overall color and tone. Alright, well let's begin with our retouching work on the background. Here we have the wall. It's close to the sweatshirt. What we need to do is to build the good selection around the area that we want to protect. To do that we'll use the quick select tool and just click and drag over the area or the object that you want to project and I don't need to select the face because really the retouching will happen down here in this area. Next, I'm gonna press the Option key on a Mac, Alt on Windows and deselect from the selection the little white glow on the outer edge of the sweatshirt. Now, I'm going to remove that because the background is gonna go white, so I don't really need that there. And that's happening because the subject's back lit, right? The…
