Initiating the Photomerge command from Photoshop
- Another way to invoke the photo merge command is right from within Adobe Photoshop. You'll do this with the automate menu. Another way to use photo merge is to choose file, automate, photo merge. Now what you need to do is browse and locate the images. I can select my hard drive and navigate to the folder. Now I just need to select the images that I want to use, and choose OK. In this case, it goes off of a strong central image, so I'm going to choose perspective. I'll also tell it to apply content aware fill to the transparent areas, and click OK. The three images are opened into a new dialog. Once they're analyzed, they are then blended together and bent to match the correct angle. As you see, the perspective method worked quite well by the borders here, but the content aware fill was able to be invoked to fill in the mixing pixels. And it's really amazing what a great job that did. In this case, the merged file is complete, and photo merge was quite effective. While we could've…
