The Lens Corrections panel

- [Instructor] The lens corrections panel is where you find camera lens profiles and an option to remove chromatic aberration. I'm viewing the Chapter seven 07_05 folder And I have the lens corrections panel already open in the develop module. Lightroom includes numerous lens profiles. By checking the Enable Profile Corrections, it should find the correct lens profile for the image. It does this by reading the image metadata, and we can see here in the lens profile that it found the make, model, and profile for this photo. If I turn this on and off, we can get a before and after of what this is doing. The profile corrects for barrel and pin cushion geometric distortions, and most lens profiles also correct for vignette. We see a little bit of vignette removed in this image. The amount of change you see will depend on the camera lens. There's also the option here to remove chromatic aberration and I always turn this on, but…
