Lens choices for panoramic photography

- When it comes time to shoot, you're going to need to pick the right lens. Now the right lens is going to most likely be the lens that you own. Again, don't run out and buy a bunch of fancy equipment just to start shooting panoramic photos. It's low hanging fruit and use the equipment you have. But I do want to point out an important consideration between a prime and a zoom. I like to shoot on primes, it's a lot easier to get the nodal point correct 'cause it's usually about where the center is. On the other hand, as you adjust a zoom lens, and we'll just unlock this one here, you'll notice that the length of the lens changes and that tends to have an impact on the nodal point. Again, that could introduce distortion. More likely though, that's an issue, is if you've got this zoomed out and as you start to pan the camera you might find that you bump it. And if your lens is a bit older it might have gotten a little bit loose here. You don't want to be holding this or adding vibration…
