Lightening foreground - Lightroom Tutorial
From the course: Lightroom Quick Tips
Lightening foreground
- [Instructor] One way to lighten a foreground is to use the Brush tool. Activate the Brush and click on the triangle to open the options. Adjust the size so it's smaller than the area. Adjust feathering to soften the edge. Cycle through the overlay options until both the tool and mask are hidden. This lets you see your adjustments easily. Move the Exposure and Shadow sliders to the right to what you think will work. Paint over the foreground. To give it variety, work around the trees. Now fine-tune the brush settings. To tone down this house, I'll add a new brush. Reduce the Exposure. And paint over the house to darken it.
