- [Instructor] Lightroom is a powerful image editor but there are times you may want to use Photoshop too. Fortunately, Lightroom and Photoshop work really well together. When a raw image is sent to Photoshop from Lightroom, a raster or pixel based image is created. The new file includes the Lightroom edits and is open in Photoshop. After the new file is edited in Photoshop and saved, it's automatically imported back into Lightroom. I'm going to show you how this works but first, it's best to start from a collection. Right now, we're selected on chapter six that has two images, and that's a folder that's in the folders panel. So the easiest way to make a collection from this is to do a right click or control click and choose Create collection and then give it a name. So we'll say this collection is for Photoshop.
