- Well, I usually have my camera with me almost everywhere I go, and I admit it's usually set in aperture priority. That's just the way I like to do it because I feel like I can miss less shots that way. Shooting panoramas, that's a real no-no. We need to use manual settings in a camera anytime possible, so if I go to my camera, I'll always use manual mode for my exposure settings. That means that I can set my aperture and shutter speed so they will not change throughout the panoramic shooting process. If any of the settings were changed by the camera then the blending later on can be really difficult. In addition to the shutter speed and aperture, I set my ISO to not automatic and set it as low as possible, and also set to manual focus. So I realize that sounds a bit counter-intuitive to use the same exposure settings regardless of what's filling your frame.
