Merging for black and white

- Let's create the merged files. Each of these images are a bit different, so this'll be a good opportunity to refresh on the merge dialogue. We have a locked down shot where I was rock-solid using a tripod all the way to something that was shot handheld. With the first image selected here, I'll press Control H to invoke the process. I don't see any need to Auto Align or deghost, here, because this was from a tripod, and it's gonna do a pretty good job of combining the images. The only consideration for deghosting might be the starburst area right here. You see that we're seeing some weird halos, but that's also a good subject for some cloning and touch-up. Let's jump to a low deghosting and see if it cleans up that starburst effect. It'll take a little while longer, 'cause it has to analyze the images in greater detail, and I just wanna see if those starbursts caused by the one minute exposure are fixed.
