- [Instructor] If you do decide to shoot with a mirrorless camera, there are many good options out there. My six favorite are Olympus, Panasonic, Fujifilm, Sony, and then now, with their new entries, Canon and Nikon. So we have six very good choices. I'm gonna talk about the effective focal length, because regardless of what size sensor you're using, for instance, right here, we have micro four thirds, so that smaller sensor means that we double what we see on the lens, so that's an effective focal length of 50 millimeters, even though it says 25. The Canon and Nikon full frames, which you see on the lens, is what you get, and then Fujifilm, for example, has a crop sensor that's 1.5, I believe, so they're all a little different. So if we think in terms of effective focal length, then all you have to do is do the math when you're looking at different lenses. 50 millimeters, which is what this lens right here is, kind of the starting point for me for portrait work.
