Modifying light with softboxes

(guitar music) - I like using light modifiers to direct the light and there are many different types. The ones that I like to use to create a strip-type light is a strip box. This particular light modifier is from West Cott, it's called the Rapid Box because it's quick and easy to set up. And the strip box itself is to help direct the light into this general location here, to help sculpture the athlete that we need it. Now it comes in two parts, this right here is going to be the connector piece, and this is where we're gonna attach the flash onto this particular piece, then we'll take this, and we'll attach it to the light itself, and then, under the light stand, we connect it like so. Another light modifier I like to use is a circular modifier. This particular one, again, is a Rapid Box, and what I'm able to do with a Rapid Box, is open it up the same we did with the strip box, and it's gonna give me more of an octagon or a circular shape.
