- [Narrator] I've mentioned a RAID configurations in some of the earlier movies. And I thought I'd better explain that now. There are two basic types, there are more, but there are two basic types, RAID 0 and RAID 1. And this is software-driven and it's very common in drives like this. This is that LaCie drive I was talking about where you have two drive base here, and you have some options with the software that comes with it on how you configure these two. And that's what I want to explain to you right now, because I think it's very important. So, RAID 0 actually gives you access to both drives. So you have in here, you have a four terabyte drive here and a four terabyte drive here, and they're working together under RAID 0. And it says right here, "Files are spread across both drives, allowing for better performance." And the performance is better with this configuration. It's faster. But the files are not…
