Repairing lens distortion in Adobe Camera Raw

- All lenses have distortion. Different lenses will add different amounts of that distortion, but it is something that you can fix. Many lens-camera combinations have lens profiles made by Adobe or key users that are available through the Camera Raw interface. If you don't find a profile, you'll actually find a course available here in the Online Library where I walk you through how to create your own lens profile, so be sure to check that course out. To enable this is pretty simple. Just go to the Lens Corrections tab and start on the first tab called Profile. Enable the Lens Profile Correction. You'll notice there by toggling it on and off that a lot of the distortion, the bending of the horizon, was fixed. In this case it recognized that I was shooting on a Sony camera. This is the Full Frame E Mount camera, that's what FE means. It recognized that I was using a 16 to 35 millimeter lens. Then it has a Profile available from Adobe for that particular lens.
