Storage settings for albums
- We mentioned earlier that albums had an additional benefit, and that was being able to choose whether or not images within them are stored locally. This means that the high quality files are always available, and not just the lower quality, smaller DNGs. Here's how it works. You can now select the album. Right click. And you'll see the option to store the album locally. When you choose this, it will now store this locally, and download the data to your system. It gives you an estimate as to how much storage it's going to take for those photos to be stored locally. This'll give you the ability to keep some of your favorite images on hand for easy sharing. Now you always have the smart previews, but this does give you some flexibility. This setting really comes in handy when you're working on the smartphone. You'll find the same features available by just tapping on the album with the ability to store locally.…
