Sync a Lightroom Classic collection with the Lightroom cloud
- [Instructor] Now that we have turned on the syncing for our catalog, we're ready to sync some of our photos to the cloud. Note the cloud icon in the upper right hand corner now has this green check mark. This tells us the sync is enabled and the sync must be on before you can sync photos from Lightroom Classic to Lightroom Cloud. Let's review what is going to happen before we start the process, When photos are synced from Lightroom Classic up to Lightroom, the large original master photos remain on the local hard drive and smaller high res smart preview JPEGs are sent to the cloud. This is especially nice if you have the inexpensive photography plan subscription that only provides 20 gigabytes of cloud storage. Even better is that the smart previews do not count against your storage space. We're going to sync one of the collections that we made earlier, because I think this is the best practice for syncing.
