Taking advantage of adjustment layers

- [Instructor] We've talked a lot about using Lightroom and Camera Raw for black and white conversions, and I do think that that's one of the very, very best ways of doing it. But in Photoshop, Photoshop really speaks a different language natively, and that's the language of layers. And layers have a lot of unique potential, and I want to show you what the workflow looks like around black and white. It's a lot like Camera Raw in that we're going to tune for a really nice color image before converting to black and white. So let's start with this image here, and we're going to walk through just a couple of my favorite adjustment layers. This is a flat image, there are no layers yet, but in the adjustment panel, as soon as I come to curves, I've created a curves adjustment layer. Now for a lot of folks this can be a scary and intimidating dialogue.
