Tethering with Canon's EOS Utility, part 1
- Let's explore Canon's EOS utility. This program is designed to make it easy to connect a Canon camera to your computer and make adjustments along the way as well as monitor the images as you shoot. This is a great tool if you're gonna be shooting in a studio environment. Now in this case, I've got the camera mounted on a tripod so I could shoot hands-free, and I've connected the USB cable from the camera over to the computer. Now what we need to do is launch the EOS utility. And it's pretty straight-forward. You'll see that it gives us a handful of choices. First up, I could start to download the images. Now in this case there are no new images to download since I've captured 'em all already, but we'll have some in a second. I can also browse the memory card and see anything on the camera, so if there's an image that hasn't been transferred, I can select that and then start to pull it down.
