Understanding your storage options

- When you first get started with Lightroom, it's important to understand how files are going to be stored. This is because Lightroom uses a combination of local storage, such as your internal or an external hard drive and the cloud. Lightroom is designed to keep everything in sync, meaning that you can work on your smartphone. I could be on vacation or out and about and take pictures on my smartphone shooting in the Adobe DNG format or even HDR DNGs, it's a great mobile app. Those edits will then translate right back to my computer or I could be sitting out on the back porch, working on my tablet while my laptop and desktop are inside, allowing me to easily work and make adjustments that synchronize, but this makes things a little bit trickier.
