Welcome

- Hello friends. My name is Chris Orwig and welcome to this course. I am super excited about this one, because this course is all about working on up-close, natural light portraits. And working on those images from start to finish. And what I mean by that is in this course we'll be doing three separate projects, divided up into three different chapters. And in each project or chapter, we'll be working with a different image. And the idea behind these photographs was to capture a bit of an authentic or sincere look. To try to capture a bit of the essence of who someone is. So at the beginning of each chapter, I'll talk a little bit about the subject. I'll talk about some of the ideas behind capturing those images. And then from there we'll jump right into Lightroom and we'll talk about how we can try to find the keeper. And here I'll show you some of the images that didn't work out, and we'll look to try to find the keeper, and we'll talk about that process. Which is so incredibly important in photography. Because it's easy to capture a lot of images, but it's hard to find that single photograph that stands out from the rest. Now once we've found the keeper, then we'll explore how we can use Lightroom and Photoshop in order to finish it off. Last but not least, in each chapter I'll provide a little bit of a recap and review of what we've talked about. And I'll also share with you some ideas that you might integrate, implement, in your own workflow. So if you are ready, and if you are excited to learn how you can capture, create, and finish off better portraits, well you've come to the right course, and with that in mind let's begin.
