Why shoot an HDR panorama?

- So, here's a question for you. If you like panoramic photography, and you like HDR photography, why not put them together? The answer is, why not? The cool thing is, is that you could take two types of photography and merge them for some absolutely incredible shots. Here's a few of my favorite HDR panos that I've made through the years, and HDR photography is great for lots of things. Now, some people love the over-the-top look of HDR. And you can go super stylized, and that's fine. But there are also uses for HDR that are very technical. For example, the scene we're shooting here would actually benefit from HDR quite a bit. I've got clouds up there that are highlights that I want to make sure I get, but I really want to bring out the details. On the other hand, in the rocks, we've got some really rich blacks and shadows. By shooting multiple exposures and combining them together in post-production, I could shoot a wider dynamic range.
