Employee profiles and your brand

- [Instructor] So why do your employees profiles matter to your company branding? First of all, we can't control what shows up on LinkedIn when people are searching for either your company or for keywords describing your product or service. It's more likely that an employee's profile will show up than your company page. So you'll want to make sure they look good. Go ahead and check now, search on your company name and click on the first or second profile that shows up. Is that how you want your company represented on LinkedIn? In addition to that, Google and LinkedIn have a very close relationship. So oftentimes when people Google your company or search for products and services like yours, your employee's LinkedIn profiles are going to show up. Again, is that how you want your company represented? So while you can't necessarily control your employee's brands on LinkedIn, you can certainly give them the tools they need to create the best profiles possible. And if you don't lead by example, it's highly unlikely that your employees will present your company or themselves in the best light, and that can hurt both you and their brand.
