- [Narrator] You've already seen me do this in previous movies but we'll get a bit more technical now so you can understand the full context of posting images on a Facebook account. Facebook recommends shared images. Shared images, all those are, if we scroll down to the post we pinned, this would be a shared image. We've just selected an image, uploaded it through a post, added some text and this is a shared image. So this is what constitutes as a shared image. And in this case, Facebook recommends shared images be 1200 by 630 in proportion. And most of the time, I'd say 99% of the time, I'm posting the image size I prefer, which is 1500 by 1500 at 150 to 200 PPI. And it's usually a JPEG or a ping image. Now the proportion that Facebook gives, which is 1200 by 630, would be more in line with the image I'm showing here. Think rectangle laying on its side. Now that's what a shared image is.
