- [Presenter] In this episode, I'm going to talk about Ad Blocking. It's a controversial topic for some people One side of the argument is that blocking ads but still consuming the content they support is stealing and another is that ads are intrusive, annoying, and frankly dangerous in some cases. Some of the domains that are blocked by ad blockers host tracking and analytic scripts that may sell your activity to advertisers and ads can be vectors for malware and even show inappropriate content, so it's up to you to decide what you think about ad blocking and if you're interesting in learning how to block ads and some trackers on your home network, keep watching. Over the next few minutes I'm going to show you how to set up an ad blocking DNS server on your home network to block advertising content at the network level instead of at the device level, as we do with browser extensions and on device content filters.
