Creating a portable bootable disk

- [Instructor] In this episode we'll create a bootable, live USB environment with Persistent using the Make USB tool. What this tool does is possible to do from the command line. But in the interest of time, we'll use the tool instead. To start, we'll need a USB drive that can be erased and an installer image for a disk drive that offers a live boot environment, like Ubuntu. I have an 1804 installer here. And I've plugged in my USB disk. It's right here, serial disk B. This disk will be completely erased. The Make USB tool will repartition it as needed to create whatever kind of configuration it needs. So before you use a disk, make sure there's nothing on it that you want to save. In order to install Make USB I need to add a PPA, or Personal Package Archive, here in Ubuntu. Then I'll update my repositories. And now I'll install a few packages.
