- [Instructor] LXQt which is spelled LXQT, is a desktop environment that's designed to use minimal resources while it's running, making it popular on older hardware as well as on servers and hobby systems. But of course, it's not limited to just these uses. It works great as a regular desktop as well. LXQt is the result of the combination of LXDE and Razor-Qt, and it's the desktop environment used in Ubuntu and a variety of other spins and variations of popular distros. The LXQt ecosystem includes a variety of useful tools and programs. And as with other desktops, you can install software from the internet as well. To install LXQt here on the Ubuntu, first I'll update my package lists, with apt update. And then I'll write apt install LXQt, that's LXQT.
