- [Instructor] This video shows how to install VirtualBox in Windows. If you're using Linux as your host operating system, you can skip this video. We're going to be installing Linux in a virtual machine to give us the ability to run one operating system inside of another without needing a separate physical computer. This particular piece of virtualization software also gives us the power to save our progress every so often in the form of snapshots. Snapshots are a game changer for learners, because it allows you to do the same task more than once while reverting the operating system state between each. The virtual machine software that we'll be using is Oracle's VirtualBox. You can download VirtualBox free from the project website.
