- [Narrator] The next step is to integrate the VM with GNS3. So in GNS3, I'm going to go to preferences, VMware, advanced local settings. Make sure that you have VMnet adapters configured here, if not, select 2-7 and click configure. I already have those so I'm going to go to VMware VMs and click New to create a new GNS3 VM. I'm going to run this VMware VM on my local computer and click Next. The VMware VM that I'm going to integrate is an Ubunto 64-bit server and I'm going to click Finish. I'm then going to click Edit and go to Network and allow GNS3 to override non-custom VMware adapters. So I'm going to leave all the other settings as they are and I'm going to simply allow GNS3 to override non-custom VMware adapters. Now you could change the symbol of the server if you wanted to. So you could select a server, or use an Ubunto server symbol, but I'm not going to do that. I'm going to click Okay, and click Okay.
