- [Instructor] Starting in Fedora 23, the distra is shipped for support with Flatpak, that run in their own protected space, either for the system or by user. Well regular package management through D and F installs a package at the system level right into the file system, Flatpak operates in a more isolated way, providing apps that aren't installed directly into the file system. Flatpak packages can act like containers, Applications run in sandboxes, and the application relies on a runtime. So Flatpak apps are very portable and have other security benefits as well.
