- [Narrator] You can extend the GNOME desktop I'll open up my web browser. Then I'll visit extensions.gnome.org So I'll click that and choose allow, then I'll click add. Extensions are written in JavaScript and hook into the interface to provide custom features. Let's look at these Extensions. This one looks pretty interesting. It's called OpenWeather, I'll click on it to find out more about it. And then to enable it on my system, When prompted, I'll click install. And now, right up here on the top bar, I have a nice little weather widget showing the temperature of, well, not where I live. I'll go in and tweak that to be closer to home. (typing) I'll find my location and then I'll click save. And I'll remove the other location. That's pretty handy but there's a lot going on in my top bar right now.
