Prepare your VM for remote access

- [Instructor] Before we get started with remote access, we'll want to make a couple of changes to our VirtualBox virtual machine. First, we'll want to turn off 3D Acceleration if it's on. Go to your virtual machine settings, click on Display, and you'll want to uncheck the Enable 3D Acceleration button. If it's ghosted out, close this dialog, click on Discard, click on Discard again, and then go back into Settings. This time, after you click on Display, you should be able to uncheck it. 3D Acceleration can cause issues where the dialog boxes hover above the mouse pointer during remote desktop sessions, keeping you from being able to type your password in. Also, by default, VirtualBox creates a private network using network address translation, or NAT, to route out traffic out of the network. This works fine for traffic originating from our VM but not for traffic attempting to enter our VM from another host. To allow a remote desktop connection from another host, we'll need to change…
