- [Narrator] If you're done using Linux on a system and want to reinstall Windows or Mac OS, there are a few steps you may need to take in order for the installation of the other operating system to complete successfully. It's common when you boot up the other operating system's installer that you won't be able to see all the space on your drive if it has Linux installed. That can be a little confusing or even scary if you're new to Linux or working with hard drive partitions. It can seem like Linux has damaged your drive or done something to it that makes it work differently. But it's something we can fix fairly quickly. Generally speaking, a Linux system will be installed on a hard drive using an nbr or a gpt partition table. These partition tables can be read by Windows and Mac OS installers. But the installers often can't read the actual partitions on the disk which are usually of the type Linux or Linux swap or…
