- [Instructor] While the default desktop for Debian 10 is GNOME, we can also install other desktops if we prefer another one, or just want to have the flexibility to switch around and explore. Desktops are available as giant bundles of packages and we can go find those and install them manually. Or we can use the handy task cell program to manage collections of software here in Debian. I'll run the command to bring up the menu. And you may recognize this from the installation process. We saw a graphical version and this is a text version but they're basically the same thing. This application isn't specific to desktops, you can use it to install the web server packages and a few other things as well. But it makes choosing a new desktop really easy.
