Taking the exam
- [Instructor] The LPIC-1 version five certification is made up of two exams. For this exam, time management is key. You have roughly 60 questions to accomplish in 90 minutes, but the minutes can go by fast. The exam consists of multiple choice and fill in the blank questions. Complete the easy questions first. If you get hung up on one difficult item and run out of time before getting to the easier items, you may fail the test. The test really does follow the exam objectives. The Linux Professional Institute has told you what is on the exam, so pay close attention to the objectives. Each LPI exam is ranked on a scale from 200 to 800 with a passing score of 500. Since exam questions vary in difficulty, the number of correct answers required to reach the passing score of 500 will depend on the exact combination of questions on the exam you take. For security purposes, candidates are not always given the same questions…
