- [Instructor] In a network environment where multiple users on multiple hosts may be directing print jobs to one central print queue, it might get complex. To help troubleshoot, we can inspect and manipulate print queues using some very basic commands. To get a list of print queues known to the system, type into a terminal, lpstat space dash a, and hit Enter. Dash a shows printer's accepting status. We can see my BogusPrinter1 listed. Now I used the dash p option to show the printer's status. Bring your line back and change a to p, and hit Enter. If it gives you an error that it can't find foomatic dash rip, and you've installed the foomatic dash filters package, then you need to restart cups. Type in sudo space systemctl space restart space cups, and hit Enter, then bring your line back and run it again to see if the message is gone.
