VPN

- [Instructor] VPN, or virtual private networking, allows network to travel from one host to another host through a private connection across a network. VPNs are often used to provide clients on untrusted networks secure access to the internet, and they're also used to provide remote clients access to protected resources on a private network. They're also used to connect networks at different sites together, such as to connect branch offices to a central office, allowing them all to access the same resources. A VPN is established by creating virtual network adapters on two systems, which act as end points of a connection that's often called a tunnel. The tunnel acts as a network connection between the systems and it can use various protocols at different layers of the conceptual network stack, allowing traffic to pass either through IP networks or through other kinds of networks and depending on the type of VPN, the data…
