- [Instructor] Using Wi-Fi on Linux can be a little tricky sometimes. If you're using a desktop manager, or one of the tools in the network manager suite, it's usually pretty easy to get set up and connected. But if you're using a system with just a command line interface, like a small home server, or a project board like Raspberry Pi, setting up Wi-Fi without the graphical tools we may be used to can be more difficult. Here, I have a system with a Wi-Fi card connected through PCIE. This card is supported by the kernel, and I'm not going to go through device drivers or any of that, so it's a good idea to look to make sure an adapter is supported by the kernel before you buy it. Or that you know where to find and how to use drivers that might apply to your hardware. Right now, I'm connected to this system through ethernet, but when we get the Wi-Fi up and running, I'll unplug the cable and connect wirelessly instead.…
