- [Instructor] While it's pretty easy to use Linux desktop environments these days without ever needing to use the terminal, many power users, hobbyists, and others find using the terminal pretty handy. You can get to a terminal either by opening a terminal application from Activities or by switching to a console with Control + Alt and one of the F keys, and logging in there. In this case, I hit Control + Alt + F3. But for now I'll type exit, and I'll go back to my desktop I'll press Control + Shift and Equals, to increase the font size.
