- [Narrator] Zypper is the Command Line package management tool used in Suse Linux. If you're accustomed to another package manager, you'll find that working with Zypper is pretty familiar. And if you're new to managing packages on a Suse system, let's take a look at using Zypper to manage packages. To use Zypper we'll type the command followed by various sub-commands. To search for, install, update or remove software. Let's look for the text editor called Nano. I'll write, zypper search nano. And here I have a list of software that matched the term I gave. We see the name of the matching packages, a summary of what they are and what type they are. These all happen to be packages, but there are other types too. Like source packages and patterns. Off her to the left, there's a narrow column called S for status. Various letters will show up here. In fact, I can see that there's an i next to the Nano package itself.…
