- [Instructor] Who dislikes click tracks? Ever start jamming on a riff or beat, and then feel discouraged when you set up Logic to record and you have to listen to the very unvibey sound of Logic's metronome? Some musicians, including me, sometimes feel stifled creatively by the rigid framework of a click track. Well, with smart tempo, we can now work around it. One of the flagship feature enhancements with the Logic Pro 10.4 update is the innovative and intuitive new smart tempo tools. Let's take a look at how some of these tools work. First, let's see where you can find the settings. They live up in file, project settings, under smart tempo. So this is our regular old project settings that we're used to, except now we have a tab explicitly for our smart tempo settings. So if you want Logic to act like the old Logic, meaning 10.3 and before, and you don't want to utilize smart tempo, you can just leave these controls as is.
