- [Voiceover] Now let's take a look at working with Logic's audio preferences. We'll wanna do this especially if we have an audio interface that we're working with. I'm going to click on the audio button here. It's to the left of the general button. To pull up our audio preferences. An audio interface is hardware used to connect instruments, microphones, monitor speakers or headphones to your computer. It's also primarily an analog to digital converter, which in short, means that I can take an analog signal, like the line out from a hardware synth and convert to digital information used by the computer. In turn, I can take digital information and convert to analog so I can play it through speakers or headphones. Here we can see that our input device is a FireFace UCX. So, that's our audio interface. In other words, the hardware that I can connect my analog synthesizer with a standard quarter inch cable and our output device is also the FireFace UCX. So, connected to the FireFace is my…
