Creating a bassline in house music

- [Voiceover] So, now we're gonna take a look at creating a kinda deep house or a garage bassline in Logic, and the plugin we're going to use is the EFM1. It's a synthesizer plug in that's been with Logic for quite some time, and it'a great plug in for creating a simple dirty bass line. I already have the bassline created in its N state. I'm gonna do a little bit of recording with it, and then, show you how we got there. So, first, I'm using drums from our Ultrabeat sequence that we had created earlier in this course. But I cleaned them up a little bit. I'm just gonna go ahead and copy the drums out a little bit more by option and dragging, then I can select all these, and I'm gonna option drag again, so that we have 16 bars. And, let's bring our cycle out a little bit. It's a cycle for the full 16, as well. And now, let's lay something in with the bassline, and then, I'll deconstruct the technique for how we got the sound. (upbeat music) Okay, cool. Remember we have capture recording…
