- [Instructor] Now we're going to talk about ESP, and I don't mean the ability to know what other people are thinking, or predict the future, or anything like that. Although, sometimes you can predict the future with a synthesizer. No, this is ESP, the polyphonic synthesizer. ESP uses a lot of the same parameters that the other synthesizers do. For example, we've got... (synthesizer playing) a nice filter with resonance, we've got some vibrato and some wah, which we'll talk about in a moment. We've also got some different waves to mess with as far as our oscillator is concerned. So it's another single oscillator, basically. Here's a new thing. We actually do have a full ADSR envelope. Now, attack is the amount of time it takes for the sound to come in. It's when you hit the key, the attack starts, and it's the amount of time it takes to get up to full power. We've got the sustain level, which is how high... at which level the instrument sustains as you hold the keys down. The release…
