Essential audio effects for mixing: Reverb and delay

- [Voiceover] Now that we have a basic understanding of EQ and compression, we're going to take a look at a few other effects that are commonly used in many different tracks and these are spatial effects. They are reverb and delay. So let's go back to our clap where we had added the compressor before. (slow clapping) And let's put that clap in an interesting space in the mix. So I'm going to go underneath our compressor and I'm going to bring up our plug in drop down menu and go to reverb. Now there are a few different types of reverb and I encourage you to experiment with all of them but we're going to go to probably my favorite which is space designer. And what makes space designer so cool is that it's a convolution reverb that uses impulse responses which are special audio samples of actual acoustic spaces. There's a whole bunch of presets of different spaces. We can see we have large spaces like rooms, halls, indoor spaces, outdoor spaces, deep canyon, mountain echoes, medium…
