Filter banks
- [Instructor] There are a couple of plug-ins in the logic filter plug-in section that don't really qualify as filters in the conventional sense. Let's start by opening up the filter bank; the EVOC 20 filter bank. The filter bank here has 20 different resonant bands that are separated into two different banks. And so, we can have a couple of different sets of resonant bands and these are all different formants that are going to respond to sympathetic frequencies, and we can have those work together or separately, we can fade between them if we want, we can have sort of different textures here. Let's just switch so that we're hearing 100% A, this is the fader between A and B. And let's start with the bass actually, this is a good place to start, this is a full frequency instrument.
