Importing audio

In this movie, we'll explore some different methods of getting audio and MIDI files stored on your hard drive into your timeline to create a song. Now, as you work, you might develop your favorite way of doing this but here I'm going to go over some different methods and discuss the differences between them. The first method we're going to try is to import sounds directly from our finder, just dragging and dropping them into the project. So if I pop out to the finder, I've got something called a Grooves Bin here with a collection of different types of sounds. Some of them are .AIFF files. Some of them are .WAV files. I've even got a MIDI file in here. So I'm going to go ahead and grab the Rhodes Funk 90 BPM file and drag that directly into our timeline on this existing audio track. Now Logic asks me, "The added audio file contains tempo information." Now, you can import that into your project and your project will adjust to that tempo or not.
