- [Instructor] Smart Controls give a streamlined control over the most often used and important parameters for each patch. In this movie, we'll explore how to use and customize Smart Controls to enhance your workflow. Now I recorded the simple baseline to the drumbeat. I used a pulse bass patch to load up the bass software instrument to create my baseline. Let's take a listen to it. (rock music) Now we want to show the Smart Controls for the pulse bass patch. We can do that in two ways, we can click up here to the Knob button. Or we can simply just type B on our keyboard. And we get our Smart Controls down in the bottom Window pane. Now these are some already mapped controls to various parameters of this patch. I'm going to go ahead and play the song again, and I'll move some of these knobs, and you can hear some sonic differences as I move them.
